Biotechnological and pharmaceutical processes typically require large quantities of water. In processes such as the storage of WFI or media and the preparation of buffers, large tanks are used to store and prepare the process liquids. The bypass valve was developed to optimize the filling speed. By using two different flow paths, filling can be done faster with the larger valve or slower with the smaller valve, allowing for significant process efficiency.
