How they work:

Peristaltic pumps (also known as tube pumps) work according to a biological principle, similar to the transportation of food in the oesophagus. The fluid is transported by successive deformation of a flexible tube.

Advantages:

  • Ideal for aseptic, corrosive and abrasive liquids
  • Easy installation and maintenance
  • Cost-effective maintenance due to no need for valves, seals or bushings
  • Reversible flow direction for line emptying and blockage removal
  • Pulsation-free operation
  • Suitable for charged liquids
  • Adaptable delivery hoses for different media
  • Suitable for continuous operation when correctly designed

Areas of application:

  • Laboratory environments
  • Conveying and dosing of aggressive media
  • Transport of shear-sensitive liquids
  • Volumetric pumping of a wide range of liquids

This type of pump is particularly characterized by its versatility and robustness. The simple design enables cost-effective and efficient maintenance with high operational reliability.
